For hip dancing hop to The Dome
25th September 2007
The Doncaster Dome is where it's at for Hiphop with their Streetdance classes.
Hip-Hop routines, as seen on music videos on MTV, are being taught in classes four times a week allowing all ages to get to grips with well-known cutting edge choreographies in a friendly keep fit environment.
Stacey John-Lewis, who runs the classes, said: "The classes are very popular with people of all ages as it is a great way keeping fit and no experience is necessary. I believe everyone can dance!
"You just need to be up for lots of fun in a friendly environment and liking the music helps too!"
Stacey is an experienced teacher, dancer and performer and often brings other dancers she works with to guest teach different styles such as Breakdance, Popping, New Style Hiphop, which are open to anyone above the age of six who wants to try out moves they've seen on TV.
The Dome's Head of Leisure Jon Whiteley said: "These are extremely popular classes and the young people really enjoy them.
!It's another example of the amount of variety The Dome offers in our classes and activities."
Classes are available on Saturdays for 6-11 year olds at 9.30-10.30am, adults (16+) 12.45-13.45, and 12-15 year olds at 13.45-14.45. An additional session for the 16+ class is held on Thursdays between 5-6pm.
