Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Dome, has been appointed as interim Chief Executive of the Keepmoat Stadium until the end of 2007.

Gavin will continue in his role at the Dome where he has been instrumental in leading the venue during challenging times. There he has helped to firmly place Doncaster's leisure facilities on the map with industry accolades including 'Best Managed Leisure Facility in the UK', the Flame Awards 'Spirit of the Flame' and a Quest score putting the Dome in the top three leisure facilities in the country. He will continue to oversee strategic issues with support from Trustees. The management team will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the venue.

Commenting on his appointment, Gavin Baldwin said:

"I'll be working with the Stadium Management Company's board, management team and staff to assess the current situation and there are undoubtedly challenges to be faced. I'm looking forward to working with everyone here to help the venue realise its full potential as a well loved and well used community stadium."
