New season is bursting with laughter and music at the Dome
Date Posted: 21st April 2009
The new season at the Doncaster Dome is full of laughs, music and strongmen!!
Kicking off the show is Jimmy Carr who is making two trips to the Dome the first on April 24 returning on May 21 for an extra date, which has been added due to demand.
The comedian and star of TV is bound to get the audience laughing with his one man show.
Doncaster favourites the Chuckle Brothers return to the Dome on May 2 with a one off show 'Chuckle Trek'. The children's favourites will also be preparing for their annual pantomime at the venue.
Michael Hart, General Manager of the Dome said; "We are really pleased by the way the new season is shaping up.
"We've plenty of laughter with Jimmy Carr and the Chuckle Brothers and the newly announced Doncaster Rocks Festival on July 25 will see Jethro Tull and many more take to the stage.
"England's Strongest Man competition is also set to take place on May 24 when Raw Power Sunday comes to town.
"We have really got something for everyone and annual favourites such as the used tackle fair and stamp magic event will ensure that the visitors keep coming."
With ELO Experience, a tribute to Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Ochestra, on June 19, Here Come The Boys on June 26 and Derek Acorah on November 22 the Dome is set for a busy 2009. More events are due to be announced shortly.
