Swimming LessonsLagoons

Statistics by RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) state that water is the third largest cause of accidents to children in the UK.

Accidents in water can happen anywhere; in the garden, a pond, a river or by the sea. So safety by the water is of the upmost importance to parents of young children.

As a result of those findings The Dome have structured a swimming instruction programme to give parents the peace of mind that their children will be given the best training to stay safe in the water.

Swimming Lessons at The Dome

Learn to Swim Series with the STA (Swimming Teachers Association)

These lessons are structured to cater for children from the age of 4, who have started full time education. Pupils progress through four levels - Octopus, Goldfish, Angelfish and Shark. Within each of these levels there are three awards.
On completion of Level 4, pupils will be able to:

  • Swim 100 meters
  • Perform all four strokes
  • Perform a dive from the poolside
  • Have an understanding of their own ability and basic water safety

Swimming Lessons at the Dome comprise of 4 groups; Beginners, Improvers, Competent & Advanced.
